South Korea's most prestigious film festival said on Wednesday it has chosen Taiwanese director Tsai Ming Liang as its Asian Filmmaker of the Year. The Pusan International Film Festival praised Tsai's work over the past three decades for pioneering unexplored areas that overcome the limitations of the art film industry.

Korean comedian Kim Mi-wha asserted Monday July 19, 2010 that she is clean of any political agenda.

Kim is the subject of a defamation suit filed by state broadcaster KBS over her remarks that the broadcaster maintains a“blacklist” of entertainers.
